Responsibilities:
Work closely with our Production Director & Operations team to ensure that outside service orders are completed for clients and in-house refurbishments are properly refurbished/repaired and moved to the next stage of Quality Control before shipping to the end user using our SOP’s.
This is what the job entails:
- Travel from accounts to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on out service sales orders. Complete reports, tag equipment, communicate with customers, & other employees to move orders to completion.
- Critically Thinking Skills: Understanding the value of the equipment and its function, then treating it with care by researching or consulting our team to obtain appropriate knowledge of equipment. Being teachable is most important. Be patient with yourself and be willing to learn from other team members without taking offense during the process will accelerate your effectiveness.
- Use Problem Solving skilled approach to refurbish each piece of equipment creating cost-effective techniques without compromising quality.
- List the necessary parts for orders and return order form to the operations team.
- Document work performed and communicated effectively with team members.
- Assist Quality Control dept. by visually inspecting product condition and simple functionality items before or after passing along to the next department.
- Be of a Team mind set: May be asked to assist other technician’s projects for second opinions, or completion of a project. Assist in crate building if necessary or loading equipment onto semis and box trucks.
- High Physical Strength: Many of the items we move can weigh up to 700 lbs and having the knowledge and the ability to learn these techniques is essential to this job. This usually entails skills using a forklift, pallet jacks, gantry crane or other moving devices.
- Maintain Clean & Organize Work areas: Organize personal and community workspaces, returning all tools and items to proper location. Determining reuseable materials and organizing a clean workspace by discarding and/or scrapping disposal materials.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in mechanics and other technical skills.
Mechanical Skills: Installation of critical parts, Use of manual tools, Sanding & Painting, Metal Bending, Fabrication, metal working, finishing & cosmetic work.
Electronics Skills: Use of Biomedical Test equipment, multimeter, analyzers, soldering, crimping, reading & running electric wiring schematics.
Construction Skills: Knowledge of how to use circular saws, jig saws, power drills, general tools.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, logistics partners, and materials and services vendors.
Educational Background: High School Diploma or GED, please include on resume. Biomedical Certification preferred.
