Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) to join our team at Pro Link. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of patient care equipment. Your role is critical in ensuring that medical staff has functional, safe, and calibrated instrumentation to provide top-tier patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repair: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and electrical safety inspections on medical devices.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair hardware, software, and mechanical issues on equipment such as patient monitors, infusion pumps, defibrillators, and ventilators.
Compliance: Maintain accurate digital records of all service activities in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to ensure regulatory compliance (AAMI, Joint Commission, etc.).
Support: Provide technical support and initial training to clinical staff on the proper operation of medical equipment.
Inventory Management: Assist in evaluating new equipment and managing the lifecycle of existing assets, including the procurement of spare parts.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Associate’s degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, or a related field (or equivalent military training).
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a clinical environment preferred (entry-level candidates with strong internship backgrounds are encouraged to apply).
Certifications: CBET (Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician) is a significant plus.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and various patient simulators.
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure hospital environment.
Work Environment
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
2 Week Contract all expense paid for travel, guaranteed 60 hours weekly
