Position Summary

The Technical Service Manager leads clinical engineering services for our Indianapolis, Cincinnati and Louisville teams, overseeing all aspects of reporting and monitoring teams and individual performances, as well as overseeing the application of all company standards, policies, procedures and behavior.

In this role, you will:

  • Create a work environment where employees feel engaged, take ownership, and demonstrate pride in their work
  • Build and reinforce a strong customer service culture across all service teams
  • Set clear performance expectations, monitor results, and hold teams accountable for achieving operational goals
  • Implement new processes and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the customer experience and overall service delivery
  • Partner with Divisional Directors, Customer Service Technicians, Account Executives, and Operations leadership to support customer meetings, promote revenue growth, and expand services

 

What You Will Need for This Role

  • 3+ years of experience supervising or managing medical service technicians or engineers
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Equipment Technology, or equivalent military training
  • Experience in medical equipment preventive maintenance, repair, and handling, with the ability to read and understand technical manuals and electrical/pneumatic schematics
  • Business and financial management expertise, including experience managing a budget, supporting contract and account margin maintenance, and contributing to district operations; knowledge of managing P&L
  • Working knowledge of the healthcare industry, including hospital operations, alternate care providers, or medical equipment manufacturers
  • Excellent customer communication and leadership skills that project confidence, enthusiasm, and a professional image
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to lift and/or push up to 75 pounds and stand and walk for extended periods; valid driver’s license; willingness to work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency off-hours) and travel up to 30% as required
