The Clinical Engineering Supervisor leads a team of technicians in the maintenance and repair of medical equipment, providing staff development, workload organization, customer support and finance management.

What You Will Do in This Role
- Manage budgets to ensure efficient operations.
- Supervise Biomedical personnel.
- Provide technical training to other employees on equipment operation and checkout, repairs, preventative maintenance and quality assurance.
- Help in the evaluation of new equipment as needed and make recommendations about its electrical and functional conformance to standards.
- Evaluate medical equipment problems and implement repairs, preventive maintenance and calibration.
- Participate in hazard identification and medical device reporting procedures.
- Instruct customer personnel on safe equipment operation when necessary.
- Maintain inventory and records.
- Participate, where appropriate in on-call rotation.
- Perform other assigned tasks.
What You Will Need for This Role
- A two-year associate degree in Electronics or Biomedical Equipment Technology or an equivalent technical program.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in the Biomedical Equipment field.
- Certification by the International Certification Commission as a Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) preferred.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology and how it relates to the diagnostic, therapeutic, and monitoring characteristics of clinical equipment.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of electronic and mechanical technology, as well as familiarity with reading circuit diagrams and mechanical schematics.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory agencies and the policies, codes, standards, and regulations that applies to the clinical equipment in their area.
- Familiarity with the setup and application of all test equipment (electrical safety analyzer, digital multi-meter, patient simulator etc.).
- Understanding of Quality Indicators.
- Willingness to work flexible hours to support business needs.
